VPN (Virtual Private Network)

Students, faculty, and staff can now connect securely to the NU campus network from off-campus using a VPN (VIrtual Private Network).

  1. MultiFactor Authentication (MFA)
    • Read the information in KnowledgeBase article, and use the included links to enroll and register your devices
    • If you have already enrolled, you do not need to repeat this step
  2. To download the VPN Client, please use the following link: https://vpn.northeastern.edu
    • On the VPN download page, log in with your Northeastern University credentials

Please go to https://service.northeastern.edu/tech?id=search&spa=1&q=vpn for more instructions and details.

You must use the VPN to connect to on-campus computers via Remote Desktop, VNC, and similar protocols.

This service is provided and supported by NU ITS. Use your NU (not COE) credentials to connect to the VPN.
