
Software on myNortheastern Portal
From COEHELP
To download Windows 10 Education Edition:
- Sign into the myNortheastern Portal with your myNortheastern credentials.
- Click on the Services/Links tab, and navigate to the NEU On The Hub / Academic Software Center page
- Click Start Shopping, then select Microsoft under the top heading, select the Windows 10 subheading.
- Add Microsoft Windows 10 Education (Free) to the cart.
- You may get a message saying "The platform of the product you have chosen appears to be different than the computer you are presently using." Click OK to add it to your cart.
- Click Check Out; accept any relevant End User License Agreements.
- Record/save the product key shown in red font in the displayed order details, in case re-installation is necessary.
- If you have lost your product key and need to get it back: Reobtain Product Keys
- Download the software (CD ISO image) by clicking the 'Download' button and install it.
To download a copy of VMWare Fusion (for Mac's):
- Sign into the myNortheastern Portal with your myNortheastern credentials.
- Click on the Services/Links tab, and navigate to the NEU On The Hub / Academic Software Center page
- Click Start Shopping, then click VMware under the top heading, then select VMware Fusion 8 (for Mac OS X).
- You may also download the newer version: VMware Fusion 10, if you are using Mac OS X High Sierra, as it has better compatibility with that Mac OS operating system version.
- Add VMware Fusion (Free) to the cart.
- You may get a message saying "The platform of the product you have chosen appears to be different than the computer you are presently using." Click OK to add it to your cart.
- Click Check Out; accept any relevant End User License Agreements.
- Record/save the product key shown in red font in the displayed order details, in case re-installation is necessary.
- If you have lost your product key and need to get it back: Reobtain Product Keys
- Download the software (Mac OS dmg image) by clicking the Download button and install it.
VMware Fusion is also available for other native operating systems; instructions are mostly the same other than the specific version selected in the sub-steps of #2, and the resulting download file in the last step will not be a .DMG file.
